Foreword

One might wonder why someone would want to write about their life. Perhaps it is because that person believes that others might learn from their collective knowledge; avoid their mistakes; or simply be entertained by the fits, starts, and foibles of that person. In my case, it is because I firmly believe that people who choose to read my book will realize and understand the profound impact one person’s life can have on so many lives.

Someone once said sharing is caring. If, by sharing my story, I can give even one person the desire to reach out and pull other people forward, then I have done my job. So, take my hand and follow me from the humble beginnings of my family to the culmination of a career of service to and love for all God’s children.

So, batten down the hatches, buckle up, and hang on to your hat… Because I am going to take you on a ride from a shy little girl all the way to a Renaissance woman with the threadbare filter… A woman who went from zero to Doctor of Education in 60 years… Take It or Leave It!
